Overview
The arena is wide open, which helps you dodge but also lets Radahn close distance in a single leap. Phase 1 is mostly greatsword combos and gravity attacks; phase 2 adds Miquella’s holy light, which explodes after a short delay and punishes rolling too early.
Patch 1.14 made the fight more readable: Radahn no longer charges up at the start, some attacks deal less damage and stamina damage, and the light effects are easier to see.
Key attacks and how to avoid them
- Gravity Meteor: Radahn drops from the sky with a gravity slam; roll towards him just before impact.
- Bloodflame Slash: A long reaching slash trailed by fire; roll through it rather than away.
- Starcaller Cry: A gravity pull followed by an explosion; run out of range as soon as he raises his blade.
- Light of Miquella (phase 2): Holy explosions that go off after a delay. Wait for the flash, then roll through the second wave.
How to beat Promised Consort Radahn
- Push your Scadutree Blessing to at least 18 before attempting the fight; 20 makes it far more forgiving.
- Stay close: most of his combos are easier to dodge from melee range than from mid range.
- Use Pierce weapons (spears, thrusting swords) and Holy damage in phase 1.
- Summon Sir Ansbach or Thiollier if available, or a tanky Spirit Ash, to split his attention.
- Bring a Physick mix with Opaline Hardtear and Crimsonspill for extra survivability.
Best builds for this fight
- Colossal Strength: jump attacks break his stance often.
- Taker’s Flames Faith: self-healing helps in a long fight.
- Bleed is weaker here because of his high Hemorrhage resistance.
