Overview
Phase 1 is a single three-headed wolf with readable bites, sword swings and fire breath. Around three quarters of its health it splits into three wolves, one of them still carrying the sword, before reforming later in the fight.
Because it is so weak to Holy damage, plan your run around picking up Holy weapons or incantations on the way.
Key attacks and how to avoid them
- Three-Headed Bite: roll to either side as it bites, then punish.
- Side-to-Side Sword Swing: roll forward-left on the first swing and forward-right on the second.
- Fire Breath: roll sideways as soon as embers appear in its mouths.
- Sword Sweep: stay close and roll left as the chain lands, or back off out of range.
- The split: solo players should retreat and fight the wolves one at a time; teams should split them up.
How to beat Gladius, Beast of Night
- Bring Holy damage and Sleep if you can find them.
- Stay on its flanks to avoid the sword arcs.
- In a team, each player can take one wolf during the split.
