Divine Beast Dancing Lion is the first major boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, at the end of Belurat, Tower Settlement. Two dancers under one costume make it an unpredictable fight, and its phase 2 cycles through lightning, frost and wind.

Overview
The Dancing Lion moves erratically, spinning and lunging across the arena. Once it drops to around 70% health, it starts channeling elements: lightning strikes, frost blasts and whirlwinds.
It is a great fight for bleed and fire builds, and Redmane Freyja is a strong ally.
Key attacks and how to avoid them
- Spinning Whirlwind: When it rears up, back off immediately to avoid the spin.
- Grab: Roll forward as its head lunges at you.
- Lightning Spear (phase 2): Dodge left or right out of the impact zone.
- Divine Beast Tornado: Run away while it charges, then sidestep the tornado.
How to beat Divine Beast Dancing Lion
- Summon Redmane Freyja.
- Watch its head: its movement telegraphs most attacks.
- Punish after a full combo ends, not in the middle of it.
- Keep your distance during the elemental attacks in phase 2.
- Black Knife Tiche is a strong Spirit Ash choice.
