How to read armor stats
- Damage negation (Phys, Magic, Fire, Lightning, Holy) is the percentage of that damage type a piece blocks. Pieces stack: a full set of 10% pieces does not block 40%, because each piece reduces what is left.
- Poise lets you keep attacking through hits. Strength builds that trade blows, like the Colossal Strength build, want 51 or more poise with Bull-Goat’s Talisman.
- Weight counts toward your equip load. Stay under 70% of your maximum for a medium roll; Endurance raises the limit.
Best armor picks
- Most physical defense: sort by Phys with the Chest slot selected; heavy sets such as Bull-Goat, Fire Prelate, Radahn’s Lion and Tree Sentinel lead the list.
- Light and efficient: sort by Weight ascending and look for pieces with high Phys per weight.
- Fashion first: pieces with almost no weight let you mix looks without hurting your roll.
