Margit FAQ
Can you skip Margit?
Yes. Margit only blocks the front of Stormveil Castle. You need him dead to explore the castle and reach Godrick, but he is not needed to finish the game.
Can you parry Margit?
Yes. Most of his staff swings can be parried, but one parry is not enough: you need two successful parries before he opens up for a critical hit.
Does Margit’s Shackle work in phase 2?
No. The Shackle can be used twice per fight and only while he is in phase 1. Save both uses for moments when you need a free heal or a burst of damage before the hammer phase.
Is there an NPC summon for Margit?
Yes. Sorcerer Rogier’s summon sign sits near the fog gate. He draws aggro and chips damage with sorceries, which pairs well with a Spirit Ash.
Do you fight Margit again?
Yes. A second Margit waits in the Capital Outskirts, southwest of the Outer Wall Battleground Site of Grace. He has 8,193 HP and drops the Viridian Amber Medallion +1. His true identity is revealed later as Morgott, the Omen King.

Difficulty rating
▰▰▰▰▰▰▱▱▱▱ 6/10 – A real wall for new players: long delayed swings, holy daggers and a hammer in phase 2. Patience and Margit’s Shackle make it fair.
