Ranni Questline walkthrough
- Meet “Renna”. Rest at the Church of Elleh Site of Grace in Limgrave after you have Torrent. A witch calling herself Renna appears and gives you the Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes.
- Reach Ranni’s Rise. Go to the Three Sisters in north-west Liurnia. The way there goes through Caria Manor, guarded by Royal Knight Loretta. Climb Ranni’s Rise and agree to serve her.
- Meet her followers. In the tower, talk to War Counselor Iji, Blaidd and Preceptor Seluvis until they repeat themselves. Seluvis gives you his introduction letter.
- Visit Sorceress Sellen. Show Seluvis’s Introduction to Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins cellar in Limgrave. She tells you that Radahn holds the stars in place.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn. Join the Radahn Festival at Redmane Castle in Caelid and defeat Radahn. A star falls in Limgrave and opens a crater in the Mistwood.
- Get the Fingerslayer Blade. Drop into the crater to reach Nokron, Eternal City. Head past the Ancestral Woods grace to Night’s Sacred Ground and open the chest with the Fingerslayer Blade.
- Give Ranni the blade. Bring it to Ranni’s Rise. She gives you the Carian Inverted Statue and leaves.
- Divine Tower of Liurnia. Place the statue at the Carian Study Hall to flip the building, climb the Divine Tower of Liurnia and take the Cursemark of Death from Ranni’s old body.
- Renna’s Rise. The seal on Renna’s Rise is now gone. Inside you find the Snow Witch set and a portal to Ainsel River.
- Talk to miniature Ranni. At the Ainsel River Main grace, talk to the doll several times. Ranni speaks through it and asks you to defeat the Baleful Shadow.
- Defeat the Baleful Shadow. Go through Nokstella, Eternal City past the Nokstella Waterfall Basin and defeat the Baleful Shadow. Report to the doll to get the Discarded Palace Key.
- Open the chest in Raya Lucaria. Use the key on the chest in the Grand Library of Raya Lucaria Academy, where you fought Rennala. It holds the Dark Moon Ring.
- Through the Lake of Rot. Cross the Lake of Rot to the Grand Cloister and touch the coffin to fight Astel, Naturalborn of the Void.
- Cathedral of Manus Celes. After Astel, continue to the Cathedral of Manus Celes in Moonlight Altar. Drop through the hole near the grace and follow the tunnel to Ranni’s body.
- Give her the Dark Moon Ring. Place the ring on Ranni’s finger. She calls you her consort and leaves the Dark Moon Greatsword behind.
- Age of the Stars ending. After the final boss, use Ranni’s summon sign instead of touching Marika to get the Age of the Stars ending.

Tips
- Do the questline before you burn the Erdtree at the Forge of the Giants: much of the late game changes after that point.
- Ranni’s followers Blaidd and Iji have their own small stories that follow hers; talk to them every time you visit the Rise. Our Blaidd questline walkthrough lists every step of his side.
- Astel is a hard fight: our Astel guide covers its teleport and the gravity grab.
- Want to track every boss along the way? Use the boss checklist.
