Running out of upgrade materials is one of the biggest walls in Elden Ring. Miner’s Bell Bearings fix that for good: hand one to the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold and they stock that tier of Smithing Stones or Somber Smithing Stones in unlimited supply. This guide lists all nine bell bearings, what each one unlocks, what the stones cost, and the order to grab them in.

| Not for sale | Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones (+25 / +10) must still be found |
| New Game+ | Bell bearings stay unlocked, you do not need to find them again |

Each regular tier needs 12 stones (2, 4 and 6 for its three levels), so buying a regular weapon from +0 to +24 costs 129,600 runes. A somber weapon from +0 to +9 takes one stone per level and costs 97,000 runes. Use the calculator below for partial upgrades.

The final level (+25 / +10) needs an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, which cannot be bought.
Best order to collect them
- Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel as soon as you reach north Liurnia: the Crystalian is a short fight and regular +6 becomes cheap.
- Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Caelid: grab it early if you are running a special weapon. The tunnel has a few dangerous miners, but the Fallingstar Beast is a slow miniboss.
- Altus Tunnel and Sealed Tunnel once you are on the Altus Plateau; this covers regular +12 and somber +4.
- Zamor Ruins and First Church of Marika in the Mountaintops of the Giants, both easy pickups.
- Crumbling Farum Azula for the last three, including the Godskin Duo drop.
Tips
- You still need to find the matching Smithing Stones or Somber Stones to reach a tier before its bell bearing turns up; bell bearings only save the farming.
- Shadow of the Erdtree adds no new miner’s bell bearings. Once you own them all, DLC weapons upgrade with the same purchased stones.
- Upgrade spirit ashes separately: they use Grave and Ghost Gloveworts, which come from their own Glovewort Picker’s bell bearings.
- Pick your target weapon on our builds hub before spending, since somber stones get expensive fast.

FAQ
Where do I give Miner’s Bell Bearings?
To the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold. Talk to them and pick Give Bell Bearing; the new stones appear in their shop right away.
Can you buy Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones?
No. Both the regular and Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones are limited finds, so the final +25 or +10 level always uses a stone from the world.
How many Miner’s Bell Bearings are there?
Nine: four Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearings and five Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearings. All of them are in the base game.
Do bell bearings carry over to New Game+?
Yes. Anything you unlocked at the Twin Maiden Husks stays in stock for every later cycle.
