🧭 Overview
Godrick the Grafted is the first major Shardbearer boss in Elden Ring. He rules over Stormveil Castle and represents the first true skill wall after Margit.
Unlike Margit, Godrick has:
- Wider AoE attacks
- Heavy stamina pressure
- A brutal Phase 2 transformation
He punishes panic rolling and greedy attacks.

- Site of Grace: Secluded Cell
- Arena: Stormveil Throne Courtyard
You fight him at the very end of Stormveil Castle.
⭐ Recommended Level
- Character Level: 30–40
- Weapon Upgrade: +4 to +6
- Flask Charges: 6+
- Spirit Ash: Highly Recommended

⚔ Phase 1 Guide
Godrick fights using a massive axe and wind-based attacks.
Key Attacks:
🪓 Axe Combo
3–5 hit chain.
➡ Dodge into him, not backwards.
🌪 Wind Slam
Creates shockwave.
➡ Roll slightly late to avoid damage.
🌀 Spinning Tornado
Short charge → spin AoE.
➡ Back off immediately.
💀 Ground Smash (Delayed)
Huge delayed slam.
➡ Wait. Don’t panic roll early.
Best Strategy Phase 1:
- Stay mid-range
- Punish after big slams
- Avoid trading hits
🔥 Phase 2 (Dragon Arm Transformation)
At ~60% HP, cutscene triggers.
Godrick grafts a dragon head onto his arm.
This phase adds fire AoE and ranged pressure.

Long horizontal flame.
➡ Sprint sideways, don’t roll spam.
🔥 Fire Burst
Short explosive flame blast.
➡ Back away instantly.
🌋 Fire Tornado Slam
Jump → fire shockwave.

- Stay close to his legs
- Don’t stay in front
- Fire attacks are easier to avoid at mid-range
- Use Spirit Ash to split aggro
